All the magic is in the enhanced software package. Buying the tool without the enhanced package is not the same thing I've tried using the basic package and its no better than a cheapie generic code reader. Its about $200 for the physical scan tool, and another $229 for the Chrysler enhanced diagnostics software package. Don't get me wrong having the dealer tool (if you have a dealer connect account) is ideal, but for the lower cost this package is a good deal. 9 times out of 10 I reach for this tool as its quicker to set up and easier to use. Software isn't perfect, and does crash from time to time, but so does the stmo software. You can run system tests, activate any actuator, reconfigure modules without needing the sales codes (like adding Nav, DRL's, HID's, etc.). This tool does everything the stmo can do minus flashing modules. I have had this setup for a few years now.
